How to Access PowerCampus in VDI

Introduction

The Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) system allows you to use your own device or a college laptop to connect to the college systems. It grants you access to business applications and resources you would typically use on campus. This includes software like MS Office suite, PowerCampus, Great Plains and resources like the Q Drive, connect, etc. In this article, we will take a look at how to use PowerCampus within VDI.

How-To Launch PowerCampus within VDI

1. Click on the start menu and start typing VMware Horizon Client. Click on the application icon. All Keyano device has VMware Horizon Client installed by default. For personal devices please follow the instructions here: Keyano-College - Remote-Access-Technology.

2. Double click the desktop.keyano.ca icon.

3. A new browser window will pop up. Please authenticate using your Kayano account. You will have to satisfy the MFA requirement as well.

4. After authentication the STAFF desktop will be available to you, click on the icon. The VDI will load. Click OK for the user agreement and log in.

5. After login into the VDI desktop, click on the start menu and search for PowerCampus. Click on the icon to launch the application.

6. Select the database you want to work with and authenticate using your PowerCampus credentials.

7. PowerCampus will launch for you to use.
