Manually Connecting to the Keyano-Secure Wireless Network

Introduction

This article explains how to manually connect a Non-Keyano (Personal) Windows 10 device to the Keyano-Secure network. Note: you must have Keyano Staff credentials for this process to work.

How-to

  1. In you Start Menu search for and open Control PanelUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  2. Select Network and Internet

  3. Select Network and Sharing CenterUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  4. Under Change your networking settings, select Setup a new connection or network

  5. In the Window that appears, choose the option to Manually connect to a wireless network

  6. Where it asks for Network name: enter Keyano-Secure
  7. Set the Security type: to WPA2-Enterprise
    • Leave the remaining fields as defaultUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  8. Click the Change connection settings buttonUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  9. Navigate to the Security tab of the window that pops up (shown as #1 in the picture below)
  10. Click the Settings button (shown as #2 in the picture below)Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  11. Uncheck the box labeled "Verify the server's identity by validating the certificate"

  12. Click OK
  13. Click the Advanced Settings buttonUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  14. Check the box labeled "Specify authentication mode:", and leave the drop-down as "User or computer authentication"

  15. Click OK to close this window
  16. Click OK again to close this window as well
  17. In your Windows Taskbar, open the Wifi network menu
  18. Click Keyano-Secure to connect
  19. In the grey credentials box, enter your Keyano Staff credentials:
    • Username: 
    • Password: Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  20. You should now be connected to the Keyano-Secure wireless
