Office - Issues Opening documents in Protected View

This document is a work around for documents not opening or opening in protected view.

Open Word (excel, powerpoint, etc)

Click on File in the top left corner of window, then click Options from the bottom left corner
 

From the windows options popup, please select Trust center from the left panel, followed by Trust Center Settings on the right panel

In the Trust Center, select Protected View from the left panel, in the right panel, uncheck the top option and click OK

Please note this will have to be done for each Office app you are using (word, excel, powerpoint)
