How-to Pin Applications to the Taskbar

1. Open the Start Menu
2. Find the application you'd like to pin on the taskbar, and right-click
3. Within the More menu, click the Pin to taskbar button

How to Create Desktop Icons

1. Open the Start Menu
2. Find the application you'd like to create a desktop shortcut for, and right-click
3. Within the More menu, click the Open file location button
4. Find the icon for the application you wish to create a desktop icon for, and right-click
5. Within the Send to menu, click Desktop (create shortcut)
