Change Your Keyano Password
Follow these steps to change your Keyano account password. This will update your password for all Keyano resources, including Moodle/iLearn, Student SelfService, Office 365, and campus computers.
Before You Begin
- You must know your current password to change it.
- If you’ve forgotten your password, use the Password Reset Tool instead.
Steps to Change Your Password
- Go to the Change Password Page.
- Sign in using your @keyanomail.ca email address and current password.
- Enter your current password once, then your new password twice.
- Click Submit to save your changes.
Password Requirements:
- Minimum length: 12 characters
- Must meet 3 of the 4 criteria below:
- At least 1 uppercase letter (A–Z)
- At least 1 lowercase letter (a–z)
- At least 1 number (0–9)
- At least 1 special character (@!#$%^&*)
- Do not use your username or common words like “Keyano,” “Huskies,” “Fall2020,” etc.
- You cannot reuse your last 4 passwords.
Password Recommendations:
- Use a passphrase. Spaces are allowed, so you can use a sentence.
- Example: “I heart Poutine!” (includes uppercase, multiple words, punctuation)
- Add unexpected punctuation for more security.
- Example: “This, Poutine, is so good!”
Do not actually use the examples above—create your own unique passphrase.
Important: Once your password is changed, it will take effect immediately across all Keyano services. You may need to update saved passwords on your phone, laptop, or other devices.
